The Jain Network celebrated the InterFaith Week on 20th of Nov at Jain Centre, 64-68 Colindale Avenue, London, NW9 5DR on the theme of encouraging the people of different faiths for living well under the current economic conditions.

 

The event started with welcome speech of Dr Natubhai shah.Then the eminent experts gave relavant presentation, Dr Surendra Patel (GP) gave presentation on the usage of NHS, Dipak Shah, a Charted Accountatn gave speech on living well in difficult financial condition, Miss Bina Shroff, a Nutritional Specialist spoke on balance diet for healthy living, Police Constable Cole gave speech on community and personal safety, Ex-mayor of Harrow gave excellent presentation on living well with austenitic in present economic condition.

 

After presentation two workshops were held. All Experts and Other Memers participated in workshops.

 

 

On 26th Nov 2011 there was a meeting to dicuss need of the communities, context for Social Action Group, Areas of Social Action, Possible Projects and next steps. And the Social Action Group was formed.

 

Council of Dharmic Faiths also celebrated Interfaith Week on 20th-26th November 2011 in the evening at the Jain Centre with the theme of Interfaith Festival of Music & Food to bring people of different faiths for social action.
