Event 1: Jain Network organised a FREE family entertainment event " Melody and Moves" -- Showcase of Dance, Music, Drama and much more. There were performances brought by a collection of well known artists Anusha Subhramanyam (Bharat Natyam), Kaushik Khajuria (Vocal), Urja Desai (Kathak), Vijay Venkat (Flute), Manorama Prasad (Vocal) and more.We are also proud to inform that the Chairman of Jain Network, Dr Natubhai Shah had been invited by Her Majesty the Queen for the Royal Wedding of Prince Willian and Kate Middleton. It is a great honour for the people of Jain Community. We heartily congratulate him and wish that he keeps on glorifying the name of our community with his work.
Event 8: Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebration - 'A Year of Service'
Jain Network chairman Dr Natubhai Shah led Jain group consisting of Mr Tushar Shah a president of Oshwal Association UK, Mr Harshad Sanghrajka a secretary of IOJ and Mr Kamal Mehta Trustee of Jain Samaj Europe to present to the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh of Jainism on 15th February 2012 as the first program of Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee celebration at Lamabeth Palace. Jains presented "Kalpsutra" as Treasure; The Queen and Archbishop listened the presentation attentively for nearly 5 minutes.
As Part of Diamond Jubilee celebration Jains were requested to visit sick as "Social Action". Jain Network organised visit to North London Hospice and St Luke's Hospice on 20th April; Great Ormand Street for Children and Meera Home on 21st April; Northwick Park Hospital and Barnet General Hospital on 22nd April. Jains also visited sick persons in Leicesters, Manchester and Birmingham.
To celebrate success of Jain Social Action, Jain Network organised a reception for Jain Leaders, interfaith Leaders and Government Officials on 22nd April 2012 at Jain Centre.
