Our New Temporary Home
We have signed 5 years lease with Barnet Council for our temporary premises. Our temporary home is 10 minutes away from our current site 64-68 Colindale Avenue NW9 5DR. The Location is The Flightways Centre, The Concourse, London, NW9 5UX.It is walking distance from Colindale tube station, Buses 204 and 303 stops are nearby our temporary premises. Good news that Barnet Council has given 90% subsidy in the rent for the new temporary premises.
Construction works for the New Jain Centre started in September-2019. The current building has been demolished, pilling work and foundations has been completed and 15 concrete base pillars for the support of First and Second floor have been erected. We expect shell of the building to be completed in 12 months. The building contractors TNV Constructions will support the Sompuras in erecting marble temple when it arrives in London. Currys and Brown is our Quantity Surveyor and it looks after day to day construction.

Seeking Blessings from Acharya Bhagwants:
Dr Natubhai Shah (Chairman) and Dr Ramesh Mehta of (Jain Centre Leicester) had visited India early August 2019. They received blessings from many Acharya Bhagwants including Late Gachchhadipati Acharya Jaygosh Suriji, Acharya Padmasagar ji and Ganivarya Nay Padmasagar Ji. They also met many Jain Leaders and Philanthropist for financial support for the construction of the New Jain Centre London. Padmabhushan Acharya Ratnasundarji guided us in the development of unique Jain Centre.
.Our Religious events were celebrated at our new home. Our devotees participated with enthusiasm.
. We conducted Health and Well being conference where more than 60 people attended.
. Organ Donation- We were successful in getting Organ Donation Grant of nearly £10,000. The work for information in change of law for organ donation and motivation to donate organs is going on.
.Christmas Lunch was organised where more than 70 people including many dignitaries attended. This lunch gathering helps us for community cohesion.
.For attracting young generation we have started Indoor Sports such as Table Tennis, Chess, Carom and other games.
.Covid-19 Pandemic has forced us to close the Jain Centre for worship. The Anjanshalaka Murti of Shantinath Bhagwan has been shifted temporarily to one of our devotee Rashikaben’s House, Tel No- 020 89314946. Devotees are welcome to do Darshan and Pooja by appointment. We also had to cancel planned Ayambil oli, Samarpan Meditation Retreat, regular Yoga Classes and other community activities. Our volunteers had served the regular Oli performers for Ayambil Food. Our members donated to Local Food Bank for the required items.
.Dr Natubhai Shah’s home office is working practically all day for the Jain Network’s affairs and attending the COVID-19 Pandemic related meetings of Interfaith, Government, London Faith Forum, United Faiths, Barnet Multifaith Forum and other virtual events.
.We are also conducting many meetings and other works via virtual sources such as Zoom & Telephone.
.Jain Network has initiated Jain Doctors and Dentists Association ( JDDA), JDDA is having regular meetings and trying to recruit Doctors and Dentists for strengthening the organisations. Its activities are for the benefit of JDDA members and the Jain and wider community.
.Jain Network has been organising 6 Virtual Bhakti Events from 2nd of May continuing on every weekends. We are thankful to them for contributing in the development of Jain Network
