Work for the magnificent new Jain Centre in London has started with the development team on site and expecting to be completed in mid 2021, We are planning for the Grand Prathishta of the temple complex in late 2021.
The new Jain Centre will be a place of worship for all major Jain traditions with a range of community facilities and a global hub for promotion of Jain values and teachings of Jain principles.
It has the blessings of Acharya Bhagwants, Jain leaders around the world, local Jain organisations, national and local governments and interfaith organisations. The development will deliver outstanding facilities for the benefit of all Jain and wider communities.
This £8m project is being delivered by the Board of Trustees of the Jain Network and led by Dr Natubhai Shah (link to Dr Natubhai Shah profile page) and image with the HM Queen attached) – a visionary philanthropist who is instrumental in the development of Jain Centre Leicester Jain Centre Annexe By the grace of Parshwanath dada and Padmawati Maata, the current operation of Jain Centre London will be moving to Flightway Resource Centre in Colindale whilst construction work takes place at the current site.Jain Network will continue to deliver all its services and the temple worship from these new premises and work with the local community to bring a range of new events and activities. We have received a rental subsidy of 90 per cent from Barnet Council for the 3,500 sq ft space which will become our headquarters for the next few years.
